How to get from Prague Airport to the city centre Václav Havel Airport (PRG, the old Ruzyně) is about 17 km west of the centre. By car the trip takes 25–35 minutes, up to 50 in rush hour. Terminals Terminal 1  — flights outside the Schengen area (UK, UAE, Turkey, USA and others). Terminal 2  — flights within the Schengen area. Terminal 3  — private and charter aviation. Terminals 1 and 2 are connected, a 5–7 minute walk apart. How long the drive takes to specific places in the centre: Wenceslas Square — 25–35 minutes Old Town Square — 30–40 minutes Prague Castle — 25–35 minutes Vinohrady (Prague 2) — 25–35 minutes Public transport Trolleybus 59  — to Nádraží Veleslavín metro station (line A), about 15 minutes. It replaced the well-known bus 119 in March 2024, so older guidebooks are wrong about this. Bus 100  — to Zličín (line B), about 18 minutes.
